Thank you for choosing Banhoek Corner Guesthouse. These terms apply to all bookings made directly with us, whether online, by email or by telephone. By confirming a booking you accept these terms.

1. Who we are

Banhoek Corner Guesthouse is owned and operated by Africa Green Invest (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2022/796827/07, Corner of Helshoogte Road and Zevenrivieren Road, Banhoek Valley, Stellenbosch, 7600, South Africa. Further company details are available on our Legal Information page.

2. Making a booking

Online bookings are made through our secure booking system, provided by NightsBridge. Before you confirm, you will see a summary of your booking, including dates, room, number of guests and the total price, and you can correct any details or cancel the process. Your booking is binding once you have accepted these terms and confirmed the booking.

3. Rates

All rates are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and are per room per night on a bed and breakfast basis for two people, unless stated otherwise.
Single occupancy: room rate minus 25%. This does not apply to the Owner’s Suite.
All rates include VAT. The Stellenbosch Tourism Levy of 1.15% is also already included.

4. Children

Children from 0 to 2 years stay free of charge with their parents. Cots are available.
Children from 3 to 11 years are charged a supplement per night.
A third bed on a sleeper couch is available in Room 11 and in the Protea Suite.
Children aged 12 and older pay normal rates.

5. Payment

A deposit of 100% is required to confirm any booking.
We accept payment by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or credit card. Online bookings are paid by credit card through the secure payment system of NightsBridge. We do not store your full card details on our website.
Credit card and banking fees are non-refundable.

6. Cancellation policy

Cancellation is free of charge more than 14 days before arrival.
If you cancel within 14 days of arrival, or in case of a no-show, 100% of the booking total is charged.
Cancellations must be made in writing and sent by email to bookings@banhoekcorner.com.

Because your booking is for accommodation on specific dates, the statutory cooling-off period under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act does not apply (section 42(2)). Our cancellation policy above applies instead.

7. Check-in and check-out

Check-in is between 14:00 and 18:00. For late arrivals, please inform reception in advance.
Check-out is by 10:00.
The cardholder must be present at check-in with a valid ID or passport.
The credit card used for the online payment must be presented at check-in.

8. Special offers

Special offers published on our website apply to direct bookings. The conditions of each offer are shown on our Specials page.

9. Your personal information

We handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Please read our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Questions and complaints

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
